Editor-in-Chief
Lead GameSight's editorial team, monitor the quality of our content and ensure that news and articles are published professionally and on time.
About the function
If Head Editor You're responsible for GameSight's editorial team. You ensure that news, articles, reviews and other content are of high quality and are published on time. In addition, you guide editors, give feedback and actively think about the growth of the editors.
You are not only an editor, but also a leader who keeps an overview, dares to make decisions and makes sure that the team cooperates nicely.
What are you gonna do?
As Head Editor, you'll focus on:
- To direct the editorial team.
- Checking and improving articles before they are published.
- Guarding quality, spelling and writing style.
- Planning news reports, reviews, interviews and other content.
- Sharing work within the editorial board.
- To guide and support (new) editors.
- Providing constructive feedback.
- To consider new headings, ideas and improvements.
- Guarding deadlines.
- Maintaining a professional and positive working atmosphere.
What do we expect from you?
We're looking for someone who:
- At least 16 years old (or the age used by GameSight).
- Good Dutch writes and controls.
- Responsibility dares to take.
- Strong communication skills.
- Stay calm under pressure.
- Working independently and in a team.
- Affinity has with games and the game industry.
- Reliable and professional.
- Respectful with colleagues and partners.
Experience as editor or supervisor is a plus, but motivation and commitment are at least as important.

As Head Editor, you work closely with:
- The board or owners of GameSight.
- The entire editorial team.
- Content creators.
- Social media employees.
- Moderators and community managers (if applicable).
- Any partners, publishers or PR contacts.
Good communication between all teams is important to keep GameSight growing.

For this function we ask for a regular presence. You are available several times a week to:
- Checking articles.
- Editors.
- Consultation.
- To help with important news developments.
The exact time investment depends on the hustle and bustle of the editorial team.
