Review: Crochet Arm Set

The Privatemover / WLF / Crochet Set is a comprehensive and clearly realistic mod, specifically developed for FiveM servers that focus on roleplay and emergency services. The set contains 4 lift vehicles and 15 containers, which ensures a lot of variety and wide employability within different scenarios’s such as transport, fire support and logistics RP. With 17 skins in Dutch and German styles it fits well with European servers and communities that strive for realistic vehicles.

What makes this set really strong within FiveM is the amount of working and interactive features. The mod has a functioning crane, working shutters, a fan and a water cannon that can actually fight fires. The fan can also remove SmartFire smoke, which is a unique addition that fits well with servers using advanced fire and smoke scripts. This kind of functionality ensures that the vehicles are not only visually attractive, but also play an active role in gameplay and scenario’s.

In addition, it is a big plus that all vehicles are delivered in both ELS and non-ELS versions. This makes the set flexible to use on almost every FiveM server, regardless of the setup used. The addition of 18 templates allows communities to simply add their own liveries and branding, which is ideal for servers who want to create their own identityëRun. The presence of an elaborate interior, equipment and a control panel also contributes to the immersion and makes the vehicles more complete.

However, there are also concerns. Due to the many scripts and working parts, the mod can be relatively heavy for performance, especially on busy FiveM servers or among players with less powerful hardware. In addition, the complexity of the features can make it less accessible to beginners; installation and configuration may require some technical knowledge. Also, certain functions, such as water cannon and smoke removal, depend on external scripts such as SmartFire, so not everything works automatically without the right server configuration. Finally, there is no clear information about optimization such as LOD’s or polygon count, which can affect performance.
