Graphics and Performance

The PS5 version of F1 25 makes optimal use of the power of the console. Thanks to new LiDAR scans, circuits such as Suzuka, Melbourne and Miami are visually and technically more impressive than ever. The view of the asphalt, the curves and the height differences is very realistic. The game runs smoothly, with support for up to 120 frames per second and fast charging times. The ray-tracing effects in repetitions and lighting add extra atmosphere. In addition, 3D audio delivers a rich, compelling sound experience, allowing you to distinguish engine, rain and team radios with sharpness.

Steering and driving

The greatest progress is in driving. The cars react more realistically, with more sense of loss of grip, tyre wear and subtle unevenness in the road surface. This makes driving at high levels of difficulty or with realistic settings much more satisfying than in previous editions. The DualSense controller supports haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, making your brake pressure and surface feel real.

The artificial intelligence of opponents has also improved. AI drivers defend better, make more realistic mistakes and behave more competitively without being unpredictable.

Game modes

The return of Braking Point 3 gives players a narrative experience with dramatic storylines, rivalry and choices that affect the course of the season. The execution has been greatly improved and includes more cinematographic scenes and compelling characters.

The My Team Mode has been thoroughly renewed. You are now playing as a team boss in a more extensive management simulation. You manage not only finance and staff, but also riders' careers, sponsors, R&D and team roles. This depth ensures that you as a player remain involved in the racing and sailing of your own racing team.

In addition, there are smaller additions such as reverse layouts of existing circuits, new challenges in F1 World and limited coöp modes. Although the multiplayer is stable, it remains a bit superficial to the career.

Verdict

F1 25 is a successful evolution within the Formula 1 series of Codemasters. The game builds on the basis of F1 24, but is distinguished by technical improvements, more realistic driving experience and updated game modes. With impressive joke
