Review: Hotel Architect

Hotel Architect just launched And trust me, if you're a fan of tycoongames, you don't want to miss this pearl. Remember? Theme Hotel, that classic fun browser game where you could stack endless rooms and hope your guests didn't get stuck in the elevator? Hotel Architect feels like a modern, elaborate and hilariously charming successor. But make no mistake among the cheerful visuals and funny characters is a serious challenge.

The game takes you on a journey through iconic cities, such as the green Gothenburg, the sun-drenched Santorini, the romantic Paris, and the cozy cold mountain village of St. Anton. Each location feels unique, with its own decor styles, temperatures and types of guests from businessmen to sports fans. To get to the next city, you need to complete a series of challenging scenarios and earn stars. And some assignments are really spicy, try getting a 5-star rating from a Critic. A painting too little or too cold a room, your hotel will only become 4 stars!

Temperature plays a bigger role than you think. No one wants to sleep in an ice-cold hotel, so you got to plan. Where to place the heating, how to keep rooms comfortable for your guests, and how to combine them with an efficient layout? This extra layer not only makes building more fun, but also more strategic.

Each city starts with a Scenario mode, where you have to complete the main missions. Only then will you unlock the Sandbox mode, in which you can build freely without restrictions! It feels like a reward you have to earn.

The little, cute dolls that walk around your hotel really steal the show. They grumbling, chilling, eating, and react visibly to everything you build or forget (think of noise while building, they don't like that!). What about the furniture? Fantastic design. There is a nice detail in it that you quickly start to dream about future extensions with nÃ3g more interior styles. I already hope for an extra DLC for more furniture!
