Review: MotoGP 25

First impression

MotoGP 25, developed by Milestone, is the latest part in the annual motor sport franchise. This year there is a clear focus on accessibility, with the introduction of an Arcade mode and a switch to Unreal Engine 5. But is that enough to veterans éConvince newcomers?

Gameplay and accessibility

The biggest change is the addition of the Arcade experience. This mode makes it possible to take turns with less frustration and to forgive errors, making the game more attractive to casual players. At the same time, the Pro mode remains for purists seeking maximum control and realism. This duality provides a wider audience, without losing the core of the MotoGP experience.

The physics are refined, and the sense of speed is impressive. Yet the AI remains volatile: sometimes challenging and realistic, but at other times unpredictable and unfair. The new Race-Off mode offers a welcome variety of the standard Grand Prix format, but still feels limited in depth.

Graphics and audio

Thanks to Unreal Engine 5, MotoGP 25 looks visually better than its predecessor. The circuits are more detailed, the lighting is more realistic and the engines sound more powerful than ever. Yet the visual improvements are not groundbreaking, and some animations and textures lag behind the competition.

Content and online experience

MotoGP 25 essentially offers more of the same content. The carrièremode has slightly improved, but still lacks real innovation. Online multiplayer is virtually abandoned, making the high price difficult to justify for those looking for competitive races.
