Gameplay Experience – Spirit of the North 2

As soon as I started, I knew. This will be’n game you just disappear into. No fuss, no chaos just you, a fox, and a world that really breathing. Everything starts quietly, I walk around like m’n homemade fox (yes really, completely self composed that fluffy tail comes well to z’n right by the way) and is immediately seized by the environment. Everything looks like a dream: soft colours, light rays falling through trees really beautiful.

The puzzles The ones you come across on the way are chill, not too hard, but not so easy to get bored. Sometimes you have to look closely at the environment or look for magical signs to get further. And honestly: if you solve a puzzle and the landscape suddenly reacts lightly that glows, a new passage that appears that gives a really good feeling.

You also get gift Spiritual powers, like some kind dashOr floating through air currents. This allows you to get back to places you couldn't reach first, so it is also a bit backtracking sometimes but in a nice way.

There are no enemies or fights, so you don't have to stress. It's all about discover, experienced, and bond with your spirit companion. By the way, it's really cool: it floats next to you and helps with certain puzzles, but is also nice and mysterious.

And oké, I got to be honest sometimes I had gééI don't know where to go. There's no map, no dart, nothing. Just you and your gut. Sometimes fat, sometimes frustrating. But if you finally go in the right direction and suddenly come back to a beautiful new area, then you will forget that search.

And that soundtrack? It complements everything. Not too busy, not too present exactly good. Really?’n game you're totally into if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the day.
