Review: Taxi Life ♪ VIP City Guide

The game offers a unique mix of driving skills, city exploration and light management elements, distinguishing it from other standard taxi or transport simulations. Below we take a deeper dip in what makes this title and not so special.

Original concept with a luxury approach

Unlike classic taxi games, this is not about transporting as many customers as possible in a short time, but about quality over quantity. You are encouraged to adapt your driving style to the wishes of the customer: No abrupt stops, no collisions, a comfortable ride. That VIP element from musical choice to driving style adds an interesting layer to the otherwise quite simple concept of taxi riding.

Vibrant and detailed city

The city you're driving is clearly carefully designed. The atmosphere breathes a modern European capital, with architecturally varied neighbourhoods, busy roads, cozy shopping streets, tourist attractions and realistic traffic situations. While driving you will see pedestrians, traffic congestion, weather changes and day-night cycles all elements that contribute to a pleasant, immersive driving experience.

Accessible and soothing gameplay

For lovers of simulation games that are not too hectic, Taxi Life offers a Relaxing pace. You can play in your own way: quietly cruise through the city, drop off passengers, and enjoy the urban landscape. The game leaves room to decide for yourself how serious you take the †"VIP aspectâ€TM, making it also suitable for casual gamers.

Progression system and personalization

As you play, you can expand your fleet, upgrade vehicles, and further personalize your services. Think of better interiors, GPS upgrades or even customer-oriented adjustments. This gives a light management feeling that adds an extra layer of depth to the experience.

Repetitive assignments and customer interactions

Although the concept begins strongly, it becomes clear over time that the game's content too little variation offers. Many rides feel the same to similar destinations, similar customer questions, and repeat reactions. The variation in orders and passengers remains limited, making the experience somewhat monotonous in the long run.

Woody control and physics

The driving mechanism is functional, but often feels Stretch and unnatural On. Especially in the case of bends, hills or when precision is required (e.g. parking), the controls are inadequate. The vehicles react slowly or too abruptly, which is sometimes frustrating, especially if you try to deliver a flawless VIP ride.
