Review: Weed Shop Simulator

Half off, misleading and full of bugs

Weed Shop Simulator is so â€TMn game that feels like it was thrown into the market early. What you get is not what is promised in the description, and technically the game fails completely. It is a typical “Early Access trap. Much potential on paper but in practice an unplayable experience.

Technical misery

For a single player game the performance is downright bad. The game fails continuously, the mouse movements are inaccurate and every thirty minutes the game crashes completely. On top of that, you can't change anything: No keybinds, no graphics settings, nothing.

The Steam Deck runs without crashes, but that doesn't necessarily make the experience better. It remains hard and frustrating to play.

Misleading gameplay

According to the information on Steam you can grow, harvest and sell your own weed in Weed Shop Simulator. In reality, this is completely lacking. You can only buy and resell products without any kind of culture or management system. This feels not only empty, but also misleading towards players who come to that aspect.

Early Access... but where are the updates?

The developer calls it an Early Access game and says there are still updates coming. So far, however, there is little to be noticed, and with just a handful of reviews and a lot of negative feedback, it is only a question of whether this is ever going to be worked out. So I've already indicated the game for a month, several bug reports and still no feedback or an update!

Better alternatives

Fortunately, there are other simulators that are worth it:

• Supermarket Simulator
• TCG Card Shop Simulator

Do you really want a game that does something to weed or drugs? Dan is Schedule 1 a much better recommendation. These games get active updates and offer significantly more fun playing.
