Review: Dying Light The Beast

With Dying Light: The Beast Returns developer Techland to the core of the franchise, with a stronger focus on tension and physical vulnerability. The stand-alone title takes place in a new environment and again follows Kyle Crane, who after years of imprisonment has been changed by experiments that partly make him human and partly monster.

The game world Castor Woods clearly differs from the urban settings from earlier parts. The emphasis is on open nature areas, abandoned facilities and limited resources, which reinforces the survival element. As in previous Dying Light titles, the day-night cycle plays an important role. During the day, the focus is on exploration and preparation, while the night becomes more dangerous and unpredictable.

Gameplay technically combines The Beast trusted parkour mechanics with intense battles. New is the so-called Beast Mode, which gives players temporary access to brutal animal forces. This mechanics emphasizes the central theme of the game: the battle between control and instinct. Techland says Dying Light is: The Beast meant as a more compact but intense experience than Dying Light 2. The game is both solo and co-op playable and specifically focuses on players who are looking for a darker, more horror-oriented approach to the genre. In doing so, the gameplay insane is worth taking on this wonderful game and adventure and choosing your own path. And also to determine your own story a little bit, so you like an open world game with epic powers and zombies, I would not wait any longer, but crawl into the skin of Kyle Crane.
