Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora gets third-person Update on December 5
Ubisoft announced that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora on December 5, 2025 will receive a free update that will finally enable players to switch between first-person and third-person gameplay. This much requested function allows Pandora to experience from a broader perspective, which is especially appreciated by players who suffered from motion sickness or found the world visual limiting.
What can players expect from Pandora in this promising update?
- Third-Person Mode: Players can change perspectives at any time, both time exploration and fighting.
- New game+: Start a new adventure while maintaining your progression and additional difficulty levels (before we saw this in Marvel Spider man 2)
- Improved animations and camera: The third-person experience is visually optimized for smoother movements and cinematographic flair
Ubisoft responds to feedback from community players. Many players indicated that the first-person exclusivity limited the immersion, especially in the world that is visually so rich all Pandora. The addition of third-person gameplay offers more freedom and visual experience, and better matches the style of other open world games. How much gigabyte this update will be is not yet known as soon as this is seen.
The update will be available on Playstation 5, Xbox Series XS and PC, you don't have to pay anything extra: the new functions are automatically added via a patch.
