Seafarer: The Ship Sim sails in Early Access on October 7, 2025

The German publisher Astragon Entertainment and developer astragon Development today officially announced the release date of their latest and most ambitious ship simulation project: Seafarer: The Ship Sim. The game appears on 7 October 2025 in Early Access for PC and will be available via both Steam if the Epic Games Store.

With Seafarer: The Ship Sim The creators want to set a new standard for realistic ship simulations. Players are given the opportunity to get into the role of a captain and to drive various types of ships from small fishing boats to huge cargo ships. Developers promise a detailed view of maritime navigation, realistic weather conditions and a dynamic economy that challenges players to make strategic decisions.

According to astragon, the Early Access period should not only serve to collect feedback from players, but also to gradually add new content, ships and gameplay features. The team wants to refine the game with the community.

Astragon Entertainment is no unknown in the simulation world: the company released previously popular titles like Bus Simulator and Construction Simulator. With Seafarer: The Ship Sim For the first time, it focuses entirely on shipping, a genre with few high-quality simulations to date.

Players interested can already add the game to their wishlist on Steam and the Epic Games Store. From 7 October 2025, they will be able to choose the spacious soup and test their skills as a virtual captain.
