Euro Truck Simulator 2 finally comes to PS5

After more than a decade of exclusivity on PC, Euro Truck Simulator 2 now officially entered the PlayStation 5. SCS Softwareâ€TMs beloved truck simulator will also be appearing on consoles soon, according to recent PlayStation Store entries and emerging press communications.

• On 18 August 2025 PS Store pages were created for both Euro Truck Simulator 2 if American Truck Simulator. Although no concrete release date has yet been mentioned, both titles are now available to be added to your wishlist.
• GameSpot also confirmed the coming to PS5 and Xbox Series, but noted that SCS Software has not yet announced an official release date.
• According to Wikipedia, the official mention that ETS2 and ATS come to consoles is up to date (status “TBAâ€) which confirms that the plan undergone changes and no date has been set yet.

Expectations and context

SCS has previously indicated that they are considering console support, but that their limited capacity combined with continuous focus on PC updates and DLCâ€TMs delayed the development of console versions.

Fortunately that situation now seems to change the store listings suggest that an official announcement is coming, possibly during Gamescom later this week.

Although details are scarce, there are already some suspicions and expectations:

• Store entries hinted to DualSense trigger vibration, indicating support for unique PS5 controller functions.
