Review: BeastLink Kaiju-chaos with great potential
Early Access

Human, vehicle or sample

BeastLink throws players in large-scale battles in which people, vehicles and gigantic Beasts are active simultaneously. You can fight on foot, use tanks and helicopters or eventually drive a huge Kaiju yourself. Multiplayer supports battles with up to 32 players.

Everything can be broken

The biggest eye-catcher is the destroyable environment. Thanks to the SuperDestruction system, buildings can collapse and entire parts of a city disappear during a fight. That brings spectacular moments and causes the battlefield to constantly change.

Clear Early Access

BeastLink has an original concept, but is still under development. Especially the further refinement of gameplay, balance and technical performance will be important. Grove Street Games is currently aiming for a full 1.0 release around the summer of 2027.

BeastLink is therefore especially interesting for players who already want to join an ambitious Kaiju experiment and do not mind that the game is not finished yet.

Verdict

BeastLink has a strong starting point: Bringing people, military vehicles and giant Kaiju together in cities that can be almost completely destroyed. The large-scale chaos gives the game its own identity and especially playing as Beast is the great attraction. At the same time, BeastLink is clearly another Early Access game. There is room for more polish, content and technical optimization. The basis is interesting enough to keep following, but Grove Street Games has work to do before BeastLink reaches its full potential.
