Grand Theft Auto VI: New Cities and Extended Folder Revealed

After years of rumors, leaks and endless speculation, Rockstar Games has finally provided more clarity on what players can expect from the long-awaited open world game Grand Theft Auto VI. One thing is certain: The folder promises to become bigger, livelier and more detailed than ever before.

Vice City returns bigger than ever

Central to GTA 6 is the iconic city Vice City, Rockstarâ€TMs version of Miami. GTA fans: Vice City (2002) will recognise nostalgic elements, but the city is completely rebuilt with modern technology. Skyscrapers, beaches, swamps and colourful neighborhoods bring a contemporary, vibrant atmosphere that is clearly inspired by the real South Florida.

New: Leonida a complete state

For the first time, GTA 6 expands its world to a full state called Leonida. This fictitious state includes not only Vice City, but also surrounding areas, countryside, swamps, suburbs and smaller cities.

Some confirmed or leaked city names within Leonida are:

• Vice City ♪ ♪ The radiant center, based on Miami
• Port Gellhorn A port town with industrial zones
• Ambrosia A smaller city with southern charm
• Redhill Mountain-like area with more rural elements
• Yorktown A suburban area with shopping centres and residential areas

In addition, there are natural areas such as vast wetlands, national parks and possibly even underground networks and tunnel systems.

A living world

What makes this folder special is its scale and vividness. Rockstar would use their improved RAGE engine to create a world that responds dynamically on time, weather, AI behavior and player choices. Citizens of the cities have daily routines, traffic adapts to the hour of the day, and shops, events and crime constantly change.

Online Options

GTA Online 2 is expected to build on this comprehensive folder, with regular updates opening new areas or launching temporary events in specific cities within Leonida.
