Is there going to be a new Home Alone movie? Macaulay Culkin sees an adult Kevin McCallister will sit down.

Fans of the iconic Home Alone movies may have something to look forward to. Macaulay Culkin, who has become 45 years old today, has indicated that he is open to a new film in which he once again gets into the skin of Kevin McCallister.

According to People Magazine, Disney is enthusiastic about the idea and the studio would seriously consider a follow-up. Final approval is not yet available, but according to several sources, the project appears to be close to a green light.

Culkin hinted at a possible story earlier. In his version Kevin is now mature and a single father of a son. When he accidentally shuts himself out, his son decides to set the same clever traps Kevin became famous for as a child.

Whether this is actually the story of the new film is not yet known. Disney hasn't officially announced the project, so fans have to wait and see for a while.

EéOne thing seems certain though: the interest in a return of Kevin McCallister is great. If the film were to be released, it would be a nostalgic reunion for millions of fans who grew up with Home Alone.
