Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 coming to PlayStation 5: a milestone in realistic aviation games

During Sony's State of Play broadcast on Wednesday night, Asobo Studio, in collaboration with Xbox Game Studios, announced a surprising and historic release: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 comes to PlayStation 5. For the first time, PlayStation users gain access to what is generally considered to be the most advanced consumer flight simulator in the world.

Pre-orders Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 are available immediately. Players who opt for the Deluxe, Premium Deluxe or Aviator Edition will get Early Access from December 3, 2025. As an additional reward, all pre-orders receive the iconic Northrop T38-A Talon, a jet trainer known worldwide for its speed and precision. • Special game modes such as landing challenges, rally races, low altitude challenges, World Photographer mode and a competitive Challenge League

• For the first time players can play the sound barrière break with the XB-1 protestor of Boom Supersonic, America’first civilian supersonic jet

DualSense integration: exclusive for PS5

Especially for PlayStation 5, the simulator has full support for the DualSense controller. Adaptive triggers respond to speed, surface and slopes, while the built-in loudspeaker displays real-time air traffic control communication. This integration creates an immersive and tactile flying experience unique to the PlayStation platform.

Closed bèta and hands-on previews

Players whoóórëto contribute to the development of the PlayStation version, register for participation in a closed bèta. The development team stresses that this version is not representative of the final game and is not a preview. For editors and content creators, hands-on time with the simulator on PS5 is made available closer to the release.
