News article: Project Motor Racing launches with full mod support

Project Motor Racing was officially launched on PC, PlayStation5 and Xbox Series X. The new race simulation, developed by Straight4 Studios and published by GIANTS Software, promises an unëfantastic motor sports experience with a first: full mod support on all platforms from day on één.

The game offers a complete racing experience with 70 cars’s divided into 13 legendary classes and 28 scanned circuits, including Spa-Francorchamps, Daytona, Mount Panorama and the Nürburgring (including Nordschleife). Thanks to True2Track technology, runway conditions change dynamically, with grip evolving per bend and round.

Players can venture to a “Survival”-style carrièuth reflecting the harsh reality of professional racing. Budget overruns, expensive repairs and failed catch-up can derail a whole season. For those who prefer to compete online, there is Cross-Play Ranked Racing with physics parity between platforms, free custom lobbies and two competitive leaderboards. Beginners can count on adjustable AI, assist options and optimized gaming path control, while experienced simracers are challenged by a 720 Hz simulation engine providing highly accurate handling and force feedback.

Project Motor Racing takes players through 50 years of car sports history. From modern LMDh prototypes to classic GT legends from brands like Audi, BMW, Lamborghini, Mazda, Mercedes, Nissan, Porsche and Toyota. Ian Bell, CEO of Straight4 Studios, emphasizes the passion behind the project: “Project Motor Racing is made by people who love this sport and formed by a community that cares just as much. We hope that players experience the same bonding and tension as we do – Something that remains true to the sport we all love.”

An important part of the launch is mod support. Thanks to the GIANTS Engine and theïIntegrated UGC Portal allows players and creators to build and share mods directly. Community creations are already available at launch, such as custom liveries, setups and a full Daytona carrièb. In addition, Praga is the first manufacturer to add post-launch content with the free downloadable Bohema hypercar. Boris Stefan, CSO & Head of Publishing at GIANTS Software sees an important step in this: “By Straight4’s race expertise to combine with our proven modding ecosystem, creëWe are running a platform that can grow, evolve and remain authentic thanks to the community.”
