Publisher GIANTS Software and developer Straight4 Studios today have it free Aussie Rivals Pack released for Project Motor Racing. The new content package is part of the comprehensive Update 2.1, which in addition to two iconic coaches also introduces a large number of improvements in the field of physics, online functionalities, graphics and overall racing experience.

With the free Aussie Rivals Pack one of the most famous rivalries from Australian car racing is brought to Project Motor Racing: Holden versus Ford. Players can sit behind the wheel of the 2013 Holden Commodore VF and a completely renewed 2013 Ford Falcon FG. Both powerful V8 touring cars feature rear-wheel drive and are designed for intensive wheel-to-wheel battles, focusing on aggressive use of kerbstones and spectacular racing.

Update 2.1 furthermore brings a complete review of all GT4 and GT3 cars. Under the leadership of the new Chief Creative Officer Aris Vasilakos, these classes have been rebuilt from scratch using new factory data and a completely renewed tyre simulation. As a result, the steering feel, the grip, tyre behaviour and the overall driving experience have become noticeably more realistic.

Also in the field of online racing, the update introduces several improvements. Thanks to the new Join-in-Progress functionality, players can now participate in supported online races that have already started. This makes it easier to join friends, competitions or public sessions without waiting for a new lobby. In addition, players will receive notifications when a Ranked session starts, allowing them to continue using other parts of the game while waiting and only to return when the race actually starts.

For advanced hardware setup simracers Update 2.1 adds a first alpha version of three-screen support, one of the most requested features within the community. On the PC, the VR settings can now be adjusted directly via the in-game menu, making configuring virtual reality considerably easier.

The racing experience itself is also refined. Straight4 Studios has improved the collision model and multiplayer stability, making close racing fairer and more consistent. In addition, Logitech TRUEFORCE is now activated on all platforms, providing compatible racing steering even more accurate force feedback for a more realistic driving experience.

With the combination of free new content, a thoroughly renewed physical model, improved online capabilities and various technical optimizations, Update 2.1 is one of the biggest updates for Project Motor Racing so far.
