Rennsport races to PlayStation 5: Ultimate simrace experience coming at the end of 2025

The long awaited racing simulation game Rennsport makes its debut on consoles at the end of 2025, including the PlayStation 5. Developer Competition Company and publisher NACON have confirmed that the game, which already impressed on PC, is now fully optimized for console users. Rennsport promises to be a revolution in simracing, with unparalleled realism, stunning graphics and full cross-platform support2.

Ultrarealistic racing experience

Rennsport is built on Unreal Engine 5 and uses advanced photogrammetry to model circuits and vehicles to the smallest detail. Players can look forward to dynamic weather, realistic tire wear, natural reflections and an impressive physics engine. The game offers an immersive experience that can measure with established names like iRacing and Assetto Corsa.

Two editions, exclusive content

Two editions are available for the release:

  • Default Edition: Includes the iconic Ford Mustang GT3 as pre-order bonus.
  • Deluxe Edition: In addition to the Mustang GT3, players get 72 hours of early access and exclusive content such as the Nordschleife circuit, the Porsche 911 GT3 R Rennsport, and additional packages with classic endurance and touring cars.

In addition, Deluxe players receive $1,100 in in-game currency to expand their garage and personalize vehicles.

Cross platform and community integration

One of Rennsport's greatest assets is the full cross-play between PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Players can take their progress and in-game possessions to any platform thanks to cross-progress. With the corresponding mobile app, racers remain connected to their team, statistics and community, even on the go.

A new player in the simrace landscape

Rennsport was developed by the German Competition Company in collaboration with the Polish Teyon. This combination of technical expertise and console optimization provides a smooth experience on both controllers and steering wheels. The game is designed as an e-sport platform, with stable servers and a unified community for all players.

With the release on PS5, Rennsport seems ready to set a new standard in racing simulation. Fans of the genre can prepare for a deep, competitive and visually stunning racing game that sets the bar higher than ever before.
