Seafarer: The Ship Sim announced for summer 2025

Astragon Entertainment and Independent Arts Software today officially have Seafarer: The Ship Sim announced. This brand new ship simulation game will be available in early access in the summer of 2025 Steam and the Epic Games Store for PC, with a price of $24.99 / â hindered£20.99 / 24.99â.€.

With Seafarer: The Ship Sim gets players the chance to take the helm in their own hands and build a maritime career. Several factions offer unique missions and challenges, ranging from freight transport to marine rescue operations. Thanks to a wide variety of detailed ships, including tugs and giant cargo ships, the game offers a wide range of gameplay options.

Dynamic and realistic gameplay The game uses Unreal Engine 5 and NVIDIA WaveWorks 2.0, which provides stunning visual experience and realistic wave simulations. The open game world, inspired by Northern European landscapes, invites players to explore ports, drilling islands and open seas. Unpredictable weather conditions, day and night cycles and spontaneous emergencies keep each journey fresh and challenging.

In the Story Mode players experience an exciting adventure with multiple missions in which all factions come together. In addition, there is a Quick Play Mode in which one can sail freely and face challenges without a fixed storyline. Thanks to an extensive character editor, players can customize their own captain and personalize their experience.
