Seafarer: The Ship Sim receives first big free update

After the successful Early Access launch on 7 October 2025, Seafarer gets: The Ship Sim is now his first big free content update. The LNG & Bulk Update introduces new gameplay mechanics, additional ships, random events and various improvements that further deepen the simulation experience.

With this update, the navigation simulation significantly expands its realism. Players can now get started with LNG transport and bulk goods, bringing new challenges and strategic choices. Adding specialized ships and dynamic events at sea provides more variety and unpredictability during play.

In addition to new content, the update also includes numerous optimizations and improvements based on feedback from the community. This underlines the ambition of the developers to Seafarer: To develop The Ship Sim into a leading shipping simulation in which both hobbyists and professionals can immerse themselves in the world of maritime transport.

LNG & Bulk Update marks the first step in a series of planned extensions. The developers have indicated that future updates will introduce more ship types, ports and gameplay features, which will further increase simulation towards a full release.
