Shrek 5 Delayed

Universal Studio and Dreamworks announced that Shrek 5 was postponed to June 30, 2027.

Previously Delayed

Earlier it was announced that Shrek 5 had been postponed from 1 July 2026 to 23 December 2026, just before Christmas.
It looks like this deadline is not being met either and so it has shifted again, this time to June 30, 2027.

Reason Not known

The reason for the delay has not been disclosed. However, this change is accompanied by a new date for the still titleless Illumination film that moves to April 16, 2026.
